EuroHalal is a Halal Control and Certification agency for food and non-food products. EuroHalal tends to be both at the service of companies but also at the service of consumers that are concerned with healthy and quality food and meeting their cultural and religious requirements. The Halal guarantee: The professional training and the seriousness of our various collaborators as well as the respect of the control methods included in our specifications (recognized by the Halal Federation of Belgium - HFB) allow EuroHalal to guarantee, to consumers and companies, authentic and serious certification according to HALAL standards. This certification is recognized throughout Europe.

This certification applies to any organization (private company or public institution, in the industrial or service sector). Activities and sites are specified by the organization at the time of its request and are confirmed and described in the certificate of compliance.

The certification of management systems is based on compliance with the aforementioned standards, compliance noted during an audit which gives rise to an audit report. This respect must be ensured throughout the validity of the certificate. This controlled certification is recognized worldwide.

Kosher certification is the guarantee of a product traceability through the effective presence of a controller monitoring the entire production process. It is an independent and impartial entity, its certification criteria are established by a competent rabbinical authority.

OUR NUTRITIONAL ENGAGEMENTS

Because our food balance represents a major public health issue, we have placed nutrition at the heart of our concerns.

First, we are working on the continuous improvement of the quality of our products through a Nutritional Charter, established by a team of nutritionists.

 

This charter guides the company in the product’s development elaborated and the improvement of existing ranges. We are also working on the nutritional optimization of all our products without any compromises on taste.

We systematically seek to avoid additives (E numbers), for the conception of our new products and when we have to reformulate our existing products in order to reduce or eliminate these additives.

 

We also maintain a strict Zero GMO policy in our factory.

Taste is a key issue, because a well-informed person can better guide his consumption => follow our packaging’s logos

 

In order to contribute to a sustainable management by decreasing their impact on natural resources and the environment, we are reducing our greenhouse gas emissions by optimizing our energy consumption and using renewable energies.

On the production site, everything is done to avoid waste and reduce water consumption.

The smart use of energy and packaging materials is essential for a better management of the resources of our planet.

 

HIGHLIGHT ON 2015-2020 PERIOD

 

  • New automated production line that reduces the energy requirement per unit produced

  • New state-of-the-art packaging unit, with the capacity to produce an additional 10 000 000 bottles. 

  • Switching to a plate cardboard instead of traditional american boxes saving 5T of cardboard per year

  • Reduction of plastics use by replacing the shrink sleeve on our packaging with paper labels which makes a reduction of 13T of plastic and more rational use of energy and no more steam used for shrinking the sleeve



















     

  • Move to exclusively PET bottles to replace multi-layer polypropylene bottles. They can fit better in a simple selective sorting sector

  • Use of cardboards from the FSCC industry only

OUR SOCIETY ENGAGEMENTS

At DELKA, the production trainee is involved in the heart of the production process and is responsible for the quality of the food products..

In the production process, the operator needs to know the characteristics of the raw materials used and the steps in their transformation to make a quality sauce. He controls the automated machines which food products are manufactured and packaged with.

 

He also controls the process by one or more control consoles, most of the time computerized, where the parameters to be checked are supplied to him in real and continuous flow. He interprets the data according to the evolution of the production process and acts accordingly in order to optimize the production in terms of quality and efficiency.

During the course of the production process, the trainee takes regular samples, limited quality checks according to precise guidelines and rules. He completes the necessary documents and forms, and in the event of a breakdown in the process, he need to step in effectively within the limits of the given authorizations and skills required. During his work time, the operator has to comply with defined quality standards (ISO) and hygiene instructions (HACCP) imposed in the company.

 

The operator works independently, generally within a work team where everyone has a defined mission. He consults his tasks on a daily or weekly schedule that must be followed striclty. He must be able to work while concentrating on the flow of the process while ensuring repetitive operations. He also needs to adopt a working method focused on the safety of his own person and his colleagues around him.

The operator is asked to, in relation to quality standards and hygiene instructions, ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of his working environment.

For many years, Delka has been welcoming interns from the Institut de la Providence and the CEFA from the Institut Sainte-Claire has offered work-study training as a production operator for agro-food companies.

OUR QUALITY AND CERTIFICATIONS ENGAGEMENTS

Thanks to our many years of experience, we do not only guarantee the high quality of our products, but also their food safety. We are increasingly seeking to deepen our knowledge of our processes and our products, which enables us to better act on risks.

 

For example, we are increasingly dealing with external risks. This is why requirements have been added to the IFS standards in the context of Food Defense and Food Fraud. These requirements tend to prevent the intentional contamination of products and to control the risks of food fraud.

 

Delka guarantees 100% traceability of its products. All recordings are now done digitally.

The Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain is the Belgian agency responsible for monitoring the safety of the food chain and the quality of food. The Food Agency is under the supervision of the Minister for Middle Classes, Independents, SMEs, Agriculture and Social Integration.
